| Type Locality |
Minkidimbua River. Described from several tributaries in the middle Lulua River. Near the village of village Kakunku. This is a tributary of the Kasaï River, south of Kananga (Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kasaï Occidental Province). |

E.atratus is the most south eastern representative of the genus currently known. |

| Colour/Pattern Variability | A
dark grey to black on body & fins. Dorsal fin is positioned further
back than others in the genus. Small fish of both sexes show a unique pattern of 3 fine oblique dark bars just behind the pectoral fin. |
